Why is my heat pump frozen over?
Some frost is normal in cold weather — the defrost cycle should clear it every 30 to 90 minutes. Persistent ice means a failed defrost board, sensor or reversing valve, or a low refrigerant charge, and it needs service before the coil is damaged.
Are heat pumps effective in cold weather?
Modern inverter and cold-climate heat pumps maintain strong efficiency well below freezing. Older single-stage units lean on backup electric heat sooner, which is where high winter bills come from.
How fast can you get a technician to my home?
Most service calls are completed the same day, and we run genuine 24/7 dispatch. No-cool calls during heat advisories and no-heat calls during freezes get priority. You'll get a two-hour arrival window and a text when your technician is en route.
Do you charge extra for nights, weekends or holidays?
